We have just returned from a seven night stay at the Elysium Barbados and what a holiday this was. We booked through Home and Away and our experience from the very beginning was easy. Our contact with the company was Mitchell who was always on hand to answer our questions and put us in contact Bonnie – the villa manager. Our party was made up of eight adults and three children so of course, we had many questions in regards to the villa and what we should expect. Bonnie was constantly available to answer our questions and never made us feel as though we were asking too many! Bonnies responses would be swift and if she needed to go away and get the answers, she did so within a couple of days and provided all the information we needed. Before leaving London, we were given the details of the taxi driver who would be meeting us at the airport and taking us to the villa; these included his name, mobile number and license plate. When we arrived at the airport, sure enough – our taxi driver was waiting for our with my name displayed on a board! He led us to his taxi and also a second van which was for the luggage. This all worked very well and there was no waiting around which was great! After a 40 or so minute drive, we arrived at the villa to see Bonnie waiting outside for us with a lovely warm welcome. We introduced ourselves and she led us in. From the second we got off the van, we were overwhelmed with the beauty of the villa, the grounds and the ocean which is seen from the front door – definite wow factor! Bonnie led us to the kitchen where we met both Rico and Corey – the personal chefs. They were busy cooking away our arrival meal and we were given a rum punch or non-alcoholic alternative to really get us feeling like we were in Barbados! After a couple of minutes of letting the fact that we had arrived at the villa after near enough a year of planning had arrived, Bonnie took us on a tour – showing us all the bedrooms, facilities and introducing us to the Housekeeping staff – Shondra and Olivia who were both very warm and welcoming. After our tour and a little chat, Bonnie left us to it; however, she contacted us every day to make sure everything was going well and as always, was happy to answer any questions we had via whatsapp/calls. For dinner that evening, the chefs made us a wonderful three course meal which included a soup, Lamb and Crème Brulee. The meal was amazing, service was fantastic and the evening was a great introduction to our week ahead. Later than evening, we had a chat with Rico and Corey and put forward some ideas of what kind of food we would like to have during the week and also that the children in our party would require pretty simple foods. The guys were extremely responsive to our requests and throughout the week, we had everything we mentioned – each meal tasting fantastic. Thank you Rico and Corey. The villa had excellent facilities. We were in the pool all day every day (except when we were at the beach) and it was clean and also child friendly. The media room was great for the children as it kept them entertained during the midday sun and after dinner time. Shondra and Olivia from the Housekeeping team keep came to the villa every day and made every day feel like arrival day. New sheets, new towels, clean and tidy bedrooms and communal areas. These ladies were very friendly and also helped us out in terms of which shops to visit to get certain things and good venues for nightlife. Thank you ladies. On the day of our departure, Bonnie came to the villa to say farewell and tie up some loose ends. We packed up our things and full of sadness to be leaving, got on the taxi back the airport (arranged by Bonnie at our request – thank you Bonnie). In summary, our holiday to Elysium Barbados was amazing. The views, facilities and the staff were all perfect. I struggle to think of anything I would recommend in way of improvement so I won’t! Thank you to everyone and we only hope that we’ll be back to see you soon  The Shade family xx

Alysian is a beautiful house on a great setting. The staff (chef, maid, and property mgr) are wonderful people, very friendly and helpful. They are proud of their house and take great care of it. The house is like new and pristine. The house s conveniently located. There are many interesting activities within a short drive. We were busy sightseeing and much as we wanted to be. We would love to visit this house again in the future.
