Dominican Republic, Vacation Rentals & Luxury Villa Rentals

As the #1 vacation destination in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic offers guests an affordable, unforgettable experience in paradise. With breathtaking coastlines, gorgeous sunset views, and lush tropical jungle replete with romantic waterfalls, it’s no wonder that this country has been among the most popular places for Caribbean vacations for many years.

In addition, the Dominican Republic offers golf lovers over 26 designer golf courses set to mountain backdrops or by the sea. History enthusiasts will love walking down the ancient streets of Santo Domingo, to see the places and buildings that Christopher Columbus and the first Old World explorers first set foot upon centuries ago.

Take advantage of delicious cuisine and friendly service at the island’s numerous and varied restaurants and eateries. Explore over 1000 miles of gorgeous beach coastline and nine unique ecological zones. In the Dominican Republic, there’s something for everyone! Many visitors flock to Punta Cana, where some of the most luxurious vacation villas are located. This area is known worldwide for fine dining, vibrant nightlife, and breathtaking beaches. However, there are plenty of other places to visit if you would rather “go off the beaten track”. For example, the quiet beach town of Puerto Plata is perfect for those who love water sports such as kitesurfing and kayaking, or just hanging out on a tranquil beach.

On the island’s northeast coast, you can find the Samaná peninsula, a small stretch of land with a melting pot of inhabitants from many different cultures. Here you can enjoy cuisine of European influence–French, Italian, Spanish, and others. In addition, Samaná is known for humpback whale sightings from December to March.

The Best Time To Enjoy Luxury Villa Rentals In Dominican Republic

The best time to visit the Dominican Republic largely depends on the experience you would like to have. There are two different “seasons” as far as tourism goes: a low season from August to September, which coincides with the Atlantic Hurricane season, and a high season during winter and summer. Travelers who are bothered by large crowds should avoid visiting the Dominican Republic, and especially Punta Cana, during “Spring Break” season (March/April). During the winter (December to February), the island experiences mild weather, as temperatures drop slightly. However, it is never cold on the island, and temperatures do not change significantly from season to season.

Expert Tips:

Since the Dominican Republic is one of the most popular countries to visit in the Caribbean, there are many direct flights available from major US cities to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. These depart daily from cities like Miami, New York, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

If you’re in the mood for partying but would rather avoid the Spring Break crowds, we suggest visiting the Dominican Republic in February. February is Carnival season on the island, and every city hosts parades and events with music, dancing, and street food.
