Bonaire: A Diver's Paradise

Bonaire Vacation Rentals – Luxury Villa Rentals Bonaire

Bonaire is a true diver’s paradise, with incredible scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities in the immense reef that surrounds the island. Blessed with unsurpassed charm and natural beauty, this Caribbean island features a vast population of exotic marine life, such as ostracods, tiny creatures that shimmer and glow in dark water.

A visit to the breathtaking island of Bonaire guarantees a taste of paradise. Like other Caribbean islands, it has incredible white-sand beaches and lush tropical rainforests. However, Bonaire is unspoiled and less populated than many other islands. The country has gone out of its way to protect its coral reefs and wildlife.

Looking for a private villa with great service in Bonaire? All of our Bonaire properties are located seaside or inland with spectacular views. There are many options to accommodate different preferences and budgets. Key Caribe’s premium selection of private villas are located in three main areas throughout Bonaire.

The Best Time To Enjoy Luxury Villa Rentals in Bonaire

Sitting off the coast of Venezuela, Bonaire is well out of the reach of the Atlantic Hurricane Belt. This means that it’s virtually hurricane-free!

Therefore, you can enjoy the beauty of Bonaire any time during the year, without fear of being caught in a storm.

If you want to avoid crowds, the best time to travel to Bonaire is from May to October. Peak season is December through April. If you wish to visit the island during those months, be sure to book your villa rental early.

Expert Tips:

Bonaire may be a tiny island, but it packs a lot punch. Besides snorkeling, there are many other activities to do, drawing thousands of tourists each year. These include a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary, admiring the architecture of Kralendijk, the island’s capital, and taking a boat to Klein Bonaire, a tiny untouched island.

Visit Bonaire in February and March to see lively parades that wind their way from Rincon to Kralendijk.

Tipping

Since Bonaire mostly follows Dutch restaurant culture, tipping is not the norm. Bonaire restaurants do not tend to expect tips from Dutch customers. However, many American and Canadian tourists like to tip, and restaurants generally accept this practice.

However, hotels often add a 10% service charge, and you should leave $2-5 on a pillow each day in your hotel room for housekeeping. Scuba diving and snorkeling instructors may expect a 10% tip. Taxis are also tipped 10%.
